Dear Father in Heaven,
I love Thee and put my trust in Thee. “For I know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to them that are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28). Father, help me look for the good in every circumstance. Help me to find the sweetness in every setback. Help me find the victory in every seeming defeat.
Guide my steps, order them to a glorious end.
I put my trust in Thee, my Savior and my God.

Dear Father in Heaven,
Fill me with thy perfect love that all fear may be cast far from me (1 John 4:8). Deliver me, Father, from any fear of failure and from any fear of success. Eradicate all fear of loss, for I know that in Thee, all losses are made up.
Go through the years of my life and remove any trauma from my mistakes or times when I have suffered loss in any degree. Remove the grief and replace it with rejoicing. Remove the doubt and replace it with faith. Remove the despair and replace it with hope.
For in Thee and in my Savior, I have hope.

Dear Father in Heaven,
Please bless my business like a tree yielding fruit and like the earth that yields her increase. Make me safe in the land, no matter what happens in the world around me. I know that You are the Lord. Break the bands of any yoke that is upon me. Yoke me to Thee and deliver me out of the hands of those who would harm me.
Let me flourish as a fruitful field that I may serve Thee and bless Thy children. See Ezekiel 34:27.

I pray as Jabez of old did, “Would you please bless me. Enlarge the influence of my life and business. Put Thy hand upon me. Keep me from evil that I may not grieve” (1 Chronicles 4:10). And I trust that You will bless me as you did Jabez and grant my request.

Dear Father in Heaven,
If there is anything pure, lovely, virtuous, of good report or praiseworthy in my life or business, I pray, Father that you would magnify it (Philippians 4:8). Help me to seek out and find those things that are good and make them a part of who I am and what I do in my business.
Make me an instrument, playing a lovely melody from Thy heart. Let all who know me know Thee because Thy song resonates through all that I do.

Dear Father in Heaven,
Jesus walked the earth giving sight to the blind. I thank You for the power of sight and the gift of clarity that are in His hands. I pray for healing of my spiritual eyes that I may see my life and business through God’s eyes. Give me clarity in my business that I may know which ideas to pursue and when.
Help me to see opportunities that I have been blind to in the past. Give me the ability to recognize the people I need to work with and the resources that lie dormant at my feet.
Open my eyes to how I might work with others, how I can utilize my talents and resources to impact the world for good in my business, that I may generate the revenues to provide for my family and to bless others.
Give me your eyes to see, Father.

I am grateful to You for my successes, and for the blessings in the past, present and future. I ask that You would apply the resurrecting power of Jesus Christ to my life, to my business, and to my finances. Bring anything that is dead back to life. Fill anything that has become hopeless with hope.
Father, please resurrect my righteous desires and dreams. Fill me with light and give me the ability to serve by my Savior’s side. Let me be His hands and feet in this world to be of service to my family, friends, clients and customers.

In 2007, my goal was to mentor 2,007 Christians. I called it “Rejoice in 2007.” It was the best thing I’ve ever done. I met some of my dearest friends through this program, wrote my book, “You’re Here for a Reason: Discover and Live Your Purpose” and created jet fuel for what would eventually become the Light the World Movement.
That was seven years ago, and I’m feeling a definite nudge from the Spirit to do it again. In my work, I’m constantly surrounded by some of the brightest, most brilliant minds — people who have creative, innovative ideas and have a heart to help others — people like YOU!
Yet these same individuals also struggle with fear, overwhelm, perfectionism and self doubt. It’s part of our nature as Light Bearers to want to be the best we can be, yet life experiences teach us
that being perfect is impossible and not everyone is going to agree with or even like us.
Many of the things I help my client with are rooted in childhood experiences where they learned to doubt themselves.
That’s why when I heard this story over Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, it upset me so much that I thought about it for the rest of the evening… it literally haunted me in the night until at 3am, this article came to me fully formed.
Breaking the Spirits of Our Best and Brightest
I feel like this is SO important for Light Bearers to be aware of! Please share with anyone who has children, grandchildren or cares about children.
The children are our future and the best and brightest are getting their spirits broken daily. I, for one, want to do what I can to stop it! I hope you’ll join me by spreading the word.
One of the hardest things for a Christian to understand is what God is up to in his/her life. We go through spiritual highs and lows, have challenges and afflictions, suffer and sometimes succumb to temptation. All of this can seem confusing at times. Isn’t following God supposed to be joyous and froth with continual blessings? On the contrary, the Christian life is hardly a free hopper pass to Disney World. Christian or not, life is difficult, demanding and sometimes downright unfair. But if we can find the meaning in it all, it’s much easier to bear, and we’ll have peace knowing that God knows where He’s taking us and that the journey will all be worth it.
God works in definite patterns in the lives of His children. Understand God’s methods and how He navigates, and you begin to see what He is trying to teach you. You may think He’s crazy stopping off to see the largest ball of twine, until a piece of that twine comes in handy on a later adventure. Everything He does is for a reason, and that reason is to prepare you for something later down the road. Understanding human nature and also how God disciplines and instructs his children will help you quit questioning His navigation. You’ll begin to relax and let God work His wonder in your life.
